Fourth Graders Make Blankets for Kids in Foster Care
After reading "Bud, Not Buddy," a book about a 10-year-old living with a foster family, fourth graders in Ms. Reilly's reading class learned about a local organization called Comfort Cases whose mission it is to make sure foster children have everything they need during their journey to a forever family. The students made colorful and cozy blankets, which will be packed into suitacses and backpacks for children in foster care. The students presented their project and showed off their blankets during lower school chapel.
